Arkonik has been established for over 12 years with production facilities in the UK and Sales internationally, predominantly within the USA. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and passionate Testing Technician to join Arkonik HQ. This is a role where you will be involved in all aspects of vehicle detailing, road testing through to the final rectification/inspection stage of our restored Land Rover Defenders. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • To ensure the company image of professionalism and quality is maintained at all times
  • Prepare trucks for photo shoots and shipping
  • Ensure materials, equipment and consumables are controlled and used effectively and efficiently
  • Operate and maintain equipment, clothing and work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition
  • Assisting with quality checks – some technical knowledge preferred but not essential
  • Assisting with mileage accumulation before trucks are shipped
  • Eager to progress within role and take on more responsibility
  • Other ad hoc jobs as requested and willing to work overtime/flexible hours as required
  • Wear correct PPE at all times and abide by the Company Health and Safety Policy

    WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Previous experience of car valeting/detailing and paintwork finishing experience would be advantageous 
    • Mechanical skills/service technician/mot testing experience preferred, but not essential
    • The physical nature of this role will require someone who is physically fit with an abundance of energy 
    • Well-presented and able to work under pressure as an individual and as part of a team. Ability to multi-task
    • Very high attention to detail and quality required
    • Reliable, punctual and highly motivated
    • Own transport essential due to our rural location

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • GCSE Grade C+ in English and Maths is preferred but not essential.
