Matt may be one of the newest faces at Arkonik, but he is certainly no stranger to life under the bonnet. With a career forged in long-established workshops, he learned his craft the proper way, hands-on, immersed in the sights, sounds and unmistakable scent of the automotive world.
The Final Miles
Based at our North American home in Charleston, South Carolina, Matt plays an integral role in one of the most important stages of every build: testing.
His working day often begins where the workshop ends, behind the wheel. Each Defender is driven across a mixture of roads, surfaces and conditions, with Matt listening, feeling and watching for the smallest detail.

Creaks and rattles are chased down, temperatures and fluids monitored, and driving characteristics carefully assessed and refined. It is about far more than simply putting miles on the clock; it is making sure every Arkonik feels exactly as it should before the keys are handed over and another adventure begins.
Life beyond the workshop
Downtime for Matt, see him living through Charleston dream, fishing and boating around the many creeks and extensive coastline, often shared with his wife and kids, soaking up the Southern sunshine and kicking back enjoying the lifestyle.
