As guests of William and Sherrie Ferguson, Arkonik vehicle owners and forming part of the dynasty behind Scout Boats, we were invited to join them on their personal boat for a marine adventure. The location was the saltwater creeks in and around Charleston. A diverse coastline which is rich in both wildlife and industry. Where dolphins and Pelicans share the waves with leisure craft and transatlantic tankers and the banks are alive with vibrant eateries such as the renowned Saltwater Cowboys.
After visiting Arkonik’s UK facility and meeting their team we knew we made the right choice in building a custom Arkonik Land Rover. The presentation of the vehicle in front of the Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath was the ultimate handover for a true Arkonik-built Land Rover. The attention to detail in our 110 and the high level of professionalism from the entire team at Arkonik have truly made an unforgettable experience. William & Sherrie Ferguson | Charleston
As well as being our neighbours in Charleston, Scout Boats share much of our own ethos and methodology. They are award-winning craftsmen who design and manufacture world-class luxury Center Console, Sport Fishing & Bay Boats.
Created by Steve Potts from humble origins, the company has evolved from a brand that no one had heard of to global success. What started as a driven man’s passion for building a better boat in a little brick building (Hurricane Hugo ultimately destroyed that in 1989) has grown into a company that consistently challenged the competition, yet has now grown into one of the most sought-after boat builders in the world.
Through hard work, determination, and a passion that has never wavered, shared across the entire Scout family, they constantly strive to do better.
From family-focused dual console Dorados to shallow drafting bay boats built for backwater and inshore to center console sport-fishing machines fully equipped to land huge specimens, Scout boats are now one of the most respected boat builders in the marine industry.
