An Electrifying Partnership
We’re proud to announce an exclusive partnership with Electric Classic Cars (ECC) — introducing fully electric Arkonik Defenders built on our new EV platform.
For nearly two decades, we’ve redefined what a classic Land Rover Defender can be: beautifully restored, entirely bespoke, and engineered without compromise. Together with ECC, we’re advancing that vision, combining our craftsmanship with proven, bolt-in EV technology that enhances performance while preserving the Defender’s unmistakable character.

What this means for our clients:
- Up to 600 HP and 250-mile range*
- Authentic Arkonik craftsmanship integrated with advanced EV drivetrains
- Instant torque, regenerative braking, upgraded suspension and refined steering
- Zero tailpipe emissions with improved reliability
- Fully bespoke builds, tailored to every lifestyle
“This partnership with ECC represents a natural evolution for Arkonik. By combining our bespoke restoration expertise with ECC’s proven electric drivetrain technology, we are offering clients a compelling new chapter in performance, refinement, and sustainability.

It strengthens our engineering capabilities on both sides of the Atlantic and ensures we remain at the forefront of innovation, while staying true to the craftsmanship and individuality that define an Arkonik Defender.”

Electric Classic Cars
Electric Classic Cars is a UK-based specialist founded by classic car enthusiast Richard Morgan, also known as “Moggy.” It has grown to become one of the world’s largest and most respected companies dedicated to converting classic cars to electric power.

“We’re thrilled to join forces with Arkonik. Together, we’re creating something truly special, Defenders that combine legendary design with 21st-century innovation.”
Richard Morgan | Founder & CEO
The company combines bespoke EV conversions with meticulous restoration and modern engineering, electrifying vehicles from the 1950s through to the early 1990s while preserving their original character. Projects have included icons such as the Mini, Volkswagen Beetle and our beloved Land Rover Defender, enhancing reliability, drivability and performance, all with zero-emission capability

Electric Classic Cars gained international recognition through the TV series Vintage Voltage, which followed the team as they transformed much-loved classics into fully electric machines, introducing the brand to a global audience. These days Moggy fronts their own YouTube channel with engaging build content that’s both fun to watch and technically rich.
From rivals to allies
Wind the clock back just a few years and we were rivals, not partners. We lined up on opposite sides of the strip for the Carwow drag race showdown, battling it out for Land Rover bragging rights. On one side, our snarling LS-powered custom 90. On the other, ECC’s electrified 90 soft-top. And completing the trio, a new-generation 90 V8.
All’s fair in love and horsepower, you’ll have to watch the video to see who claimed the medal of honour. But here’s the twist. What started as competition has come full circle. Today, we’re no longer lining up against each other, we’re aligned, united by a shared mission: to build the finest electric Land Rovers on the planet.
